B. Nature and Scope of Data Processing

I. Provision of the Website and Creation of Log Files

1. Description and Scope of Data Processing
Every time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing device.

The following data is collected:

  • Information about the browser type and version

  • The operating system used

  • The internet service provider

  • The user’s IP address

  • Date and time of access

  • Websites from which you reached our site (referrer URL)

  • Websites you access from our website

The IP address can be considered personal data, as it may allow identification of the internet connection owner via their internet provider.

The data is also stored in our system’s log files. This data is not stored together with other personal data of the user.

2. Legal Basis for Data Processing
The legal basis for the temporary storage of data and log files is our legitimate interest in providing a functional website, pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3. Purpose of Data Processing
Temporary storage of the IP address is necessary to deliver the website to your device. The IP address must remain stored for the duration of the session.

Log file storage ensures the website's functionality. Additionally, the data helps us optimize the website and ensure the security of our IT systems. No evaluation of this data for marketing purposes takes place.

4. Duration of Storage
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected.
For data collected to provide the website, this is the case when the session ends.

For log files, data is deleted after a maximum of seven days. Longer storage is possible; in this case, IP addresses are anonymized so they can no longer be linked to the user. If data needs to be retained for legal evidence purposes, deletion is suspended until final clarification.

II. Use of Cookies

1. Description and Scope of Data Processing
Our website uses cookies. Cookies are data records that are stored by your browser on your device. A cookie typically contains a unique string that allows identification of the browser upon return visits. Cookies cannot execute programs or deliver viruses to your computer.

You can configure your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies, only allow cookies in individual cases, or generally exclude them. You can also delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. However, disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

We use cookies primarily to make our website more user-friendly. Some elements of our website require that the browser be recognized even after a page change.

The following data may be stored and transmitted in cookies:

  • Language settings

  • Log-in information

  • Session ID

We also use cookies that allow an analysis of users’ browsing behavior.

The following data may be collected:

  • Search terms entered

  • Frequency of page views

  • Use of website features

Data collected this way is pseudonymized using technical measures. It is not stored together with other personal data.

When visiting our site, you will be informed via a banner about the use of cookies and referred to this privacy policy. You can also select which types of cookies you want to allow:

  • “Settings” includes all technically necessary cookies and cannot be deactivated.

  • “Statistics” includes cookies for user analysis (e.g., Google Analytics).

  • “Marketing” includes cookies that may allow us to recognize users to deliver targeted or relevant marketing content.

You can adjust your settings at any time and withdraw any consent given with future effect.
To reset cookies, please click here:
<a href="#" class="cookie-accept-reset">Reset cookie settings</a>, then reload the page.

2. Legal Basis for Data Processing
The legal basis for the use of technically necessary cookies is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to provide a functioning website.
All other cookies are used solely based on your consent, pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

3. Purpose of Data Processing
The purpose of technically necessary cookies is to simplify website use for you. Some functions of our site cannot be provided without cookies, which require the browser to be recognized after a page change.

Cookies are required for the following purposes:

  • Storing language settings

  • Saving search terms

Technically necessary cookies are not used to create user profiles.

Analytical cookies help us improve our website and its content. They help us understand how the site is used and continuously improve it.

4. Duration of Storage, Objection, and Removal Options
Cookies are stored on your device and transmitted to our site. Therefore, you have full control over cookie use. You can disable or restrict cookie transmission by adjusting your browser settings. Stored cookies can be deleted at any time. This can also be done automatically.

If cookies are disabled, some website features may no longer function fully.

III. Newsletter

1. Description and Scope of Data Processing

Our website offers the option to subscribe to a free newsletter. When registering, the data entered into the subscription form is transmitted to us.

This typically includes the email address, and optionally the first and/or last name of the user, so that we can address recipients personally if desired. If you do not provide your email address, we cannot send you the newsletter.

In addition, the following data is collected during the registration process:

  • IP address of the accessing device

  • Date and time of registration

During the registration process, we obtain your consent through a double opt-in procedure, and refer you to this privacy policy.

If you purchase goods or services on our website and provide your email address, we may subsequently use this address to send you a newsletter advertising our own similar products or services, provided you did not object to such use and you were clearly informed about your right to object at the time your email was collected and each time it is used. You can object at any time, at no cost other than basic transmission charges.

No data is passed on to third parties in connection with the newsletter. The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter.

Newsletter Delivery Service Provider

The newsletter is sent via the service provider:
Jegasoft SHI GmbH, Jens Galkow, Kraftwerkstraße 16a, 03226 Vetschau/Spreewald, Germany.
Their privacy policy is available at: www.jegasoft.de/datenschutz

This provider is used on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28(3) sentence 1 GDPR.

The provider may use recipient data in anonymous form (i.e., without linking it to a user) to improve or optimize their services — for example, for technical optimization of the newsletter or for statistical purposes. The provider does not use our newsletter recipients' data to contact them independently or to pass data to third parties.

Newsletter – Performance Measurement

Newsletters may contain what’s known as a tracking pixel, a small file that is retrieved when the newsletter is opened. This request collects technical information, such as:

  • Browser type

  • Operating system

  • IP address

  • Time of access

This data is used for technical service improvement and analyzing reading behavior based on access times or locations (determinable via the IP address).

The statistical data includes:

  • Whether the newsletter was opened

  • When it was opened

  • Which links were clicked

While technically it may be possible to associate this information with individual recipients, it is not our intention, nor that of the provider, to monitor individuals. These evaluations help us understand the reading habits of our users so we can tailor content accordingly.

2. Legal Basis for Data Processing

The legal basis for processing your data after newsletter registration is your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. This also includes performance measurement.

The logging of your IP address and registration date/time is based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in documenting and being able to verify your consent.

3. Purpose of Data Processing

The user's email address is collected to deliver the newsletter.

Other personal data collected during the registration process helps verify the registration in case of dispute, prevent misuse of services or email addresses, and improve user experience.

4. Duration of Storage

Data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected.

Email addresses and any additional optional information are stored as long as the newsletter subscription is active.

You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in the newsletter or by emailing contact@fujibrandenburg.com .

Other personal data collected during registration is generally deleted after seven days.

IV. Registration

1. Description and Scope of Data Processing

Our website may optionally offer you the opportunity to register by entering personal data. The data is entered into a form and transmitted to and stored by us. No data is shared with third parties.

During registration, required fields will be marked. If you do not provide the mandatory data, we cannot create a user account for you.

The following data is also stored at the time of registration:

  • Your IP address

  • Date and time of registration

2. Legal Basis for Data Processing

The legal basis for processing the data is your consent, pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

If registration serves to fulfill a contract to which you are a party, or for pre-contractual measures at your request, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

The logging of your IP address and the date/time of your consent is based on our legitimate interest in being able to document this consent, per Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3. Purpose of Data Processing

The purpose is to enable you, as a registered user, to access certain content or services and to verify your registration if needed.

4. Duration of Storage

Data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its original purpose.

For registration data, this happens when your user account is deleted or modified — which you can do at any time.

V. Contact (e.g., via Contact Form, Email, Phone, or Social Media)

1. Description and Scope of Data Processing

If you contact us — via contact form, email, phone, or social media — we process your information solely to handle your request.

Your information may be stored in a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system or similar software.

If you do not provide the mandatory data requested, we cannot process your inquiry.

At the time the message is sent, the following data is also recorded:

  • Your IP address

  • Date and time of contact

No data is passed on to third parties. Your data is used solely to process the conversation.

2. Legal Basis for Data Processing

The legal basis for processing your data is your consent, under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
If your request is related to a contract or pre-contractual measures, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Logging of the IP address and timestamp is based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in being able to prove your contact attempt and prevent or investigate potential misuse.

3. Purpose of Data Processing

The processing of personal data serves exclusively to handle your inquiry. Data collected during submission helps prevent misuse of the contact form and ensures the security of our IT systems.

4. Duration of Storage

Data is deleted once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected.

For data from the contact form or emails, this is the case when the respective conversation has ended — i.e., when it is evident that the issue has been conclusively resolved.

Personal data collected during the submission process is deleted after seven days at the latest.

VI. Commenting Function for Blog and/or Guestbook

We offer the option to leave comments on individual posts on our website. In doing so, the IP address of the author or connection owner and the name used for the comment are stored.

This storage is for our protection in the event that the author infringes the rights of third parties or publishes unlawful content via their comment. We have a legitimate interest in storing this data, as we could be held legally accountable for such infringements.

There is no transfer of this data to third parties. The data collected via comments is also not merged with other data collected elsewhere on the website.

Legal basis for processing is our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The data is stored as long as the comment is publicly visible on our website. You may delete your comment at any time with future effect.

If you do not provide the required data for commenting, you will not be able to leave a comment.

VII. Web Analytics via Google Analytics

1. Scope of Personal Data Processing

We may use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; parent company: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).

Google uses cookies. Information generated by the cookie regarding the use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google processes this information on our behalf to:

  • Evaluate usage of our website

  • Compile reports on website activity

  • Provide other related services regarding website and internet usage

Pseudonymous usage profiles may be created from the processed data.

We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled. This means your IP address is shortened by Google within EU member states or other EEA countries before transmission. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Your IP address is not merged with other data held by Google. You can prevent cookie storage by adjusting your browser settings.

Google processes Analytics data according to its own privacy policy, which you can view at:
More details on how Google handles Analytics data:
For data subject rights:

Disable Google Analytics
You can prevent Google Analytics data collection and processing (including your IP address) via a browser plugin available here:

Please note: If your browser is reset or reinstalled, you must reinstall the plugin to disable Google Analytics again.

2. Legal Basis for Processing

The legal basis for using Google Analytics is your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie banner (bottom left icon on the website).

⚠️ Important Notice:
If you consent to Google Analytics, you also consent to your data being processed in the USA. The European Court of Justice considers the US data protection level inadequate compared to the EU. In particular, US authorities may access your data. If you do not consent, no transfer of your data to the US will occur.

3. Purpose of Processing

Processing this data helps us analyze visitor behavior, understand how our website is used, and improve usability and performance based on user interaction.

4. Storage Duration

Analytics data is deleted once it is no longer necessary. We review the necessity every two years. Statutory retention requirements also apply.

VIII. Marketing Services & Social Plugins

1. Google Remarketing & Marketing Services

We may use Google Marketing Services (e.g., remarketing, AdWords, AdSense) based on your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You can withdraw your consent anytime via the cookie banner (bottom left icon).

⚠️ Notice:
If you consent, your personal data may be processed in the USA. As noted, this entails risks due to insufficient data protection levels. No transfer occurs if you do not consent.

These services allow us to display targeted ads based on user interests. For example, if a user previously visited product pages, they may later see ads for those products ("remarketing").

How it works:

  • When visiting our or other websites, Google code is executed, placing (re)marketing tags (also known as "pixel tags")

  • A cookie is stored on your device to track interests, content viewed, and interactions

  • The cookie may be set by domains such as: google.com, doubleclick.net, googleadservices.com, etc.

  • Technical details like browser type, OS, referring pages, IP address, and timestamps are also collected

We inform Google via Analytics that IPs are shortened within the EU/EEA and only in rare cases transferred fully to the US.

Information may be linked with other Google data, but not with your name or email unless you’ve explicitly permitted that.
The data is stored on Google servers in the USA.

We use services like:

  • Google AdWords (with Conversion Tracking): Helps measure ad effectiveness by tracking how many users clicked ads and reached conversion pages

  • Google AdSense: Displays third-party ads

  • Google Tag Manager: Helps manage and integrate Google services

2. Facebook Pixel, Custom Audiences & Conversions

We use the Facebook Pixel based on your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. It is operated by:

  • Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, or

  • For EU users: Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland

You can withdraw consent anytime via the cookie banner (bottom left).

⚠️ Note:
If you consent, data is transferred to the USA, where the data protection level is considered inadequate. US authorities may access your data.

Facebook Pixel helps:

  • Track whether users perform certain actions on our website (e.g., purchases)

  • Measure ad effectiveness

  • Create custom audiences based on user behavior

3. Google Translate

We may offer Google Translate to allow viewing our website in other languages.

For privacy, Google Translate is disabled by default — indicated by a greyed-out "Select Language" text. No data is transmitted to Google until you activate the feature by clicking on it.

Once activated, data such as:

  • Your IP address

  • The URL of the page you're viewing

…will be sent to Google.

You can withdraw consent anytime by deactivating Google Translate.

⚠️ If you consent, you also agree to data transfer to the USA, with the associated risks mentioned above.

4. Online Presence on Social Media

We maintain social media profiles to communicate with users, customers, and interested parties, and to inform them about our services.

When visiting such platforms, the terms and privacy policies of those platforms apply.

Unless otherwise stated in this privacy policy, we process personal data when users:

  • Interact with our pages (e.g., post comments)

  • Send us direct messages

…based on Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR.

Please also refer to section V (Contacting us) for more on how we handle such communications.
